Investment Consultant Biography

Russ Manners Russ is originally from London, England. He attended Creighton University and the University of Nebraska graduating with degrees in English and Economics. In 1980, Russ began his financial services career with the Wall Street based firm of Bache, Halsey, Stuart, Shields where he worked as a financial advisor. In 1990, he joined Kirkpatrick Pettis where he became a First V.P. in Private Client Services. He continues to serve in that capacity after the 2002 merger with SMITH HAYES Financial Services. Russ was elected to the company’s board of directors in 2003. Russ works with his clients defining their financial goals and then helps build portfolios to best meet those goals. He favors simple, conservative investment strategies that limit expenses and taxes, while stressing discipline and patience. Russ and his wife, Mary Ann, were married in 1982. They have two sons, Ryan and Mark. Russ enjoys reading, sports and travel. Russ works closely with his assistant Lori Andersen. Lori and Russ have worked together for eighteen years. As a Senior Registered Associate, she is experienced in handling our clients' needs.
